Custard apples (Atha) originated in South America and the West Indies. They are now planted in Asia, Australia, and other tropical countries. These apples are typically heart-shaped or oval-shaped and can weigh up to 450g. They have light tan or greenish quilted-skin that turns brown as the fruit ripens.
